Although the hotel itself is older on the outside, it still has a very nice charm on the end side with a staff that will always go above and beyond. I have the pleasure of staying quite frequently at the Marriott Kansas City Airport. Got to the airport, checked our bags curbside, went through security, and got to the gate 5 minutes before boarding an experience I'd care to repeat.thank you.MCI Marriot More Show less

I woke up Saturday morning, looked at my watch.9am!!!!!.shook the wife awake, put on our clothes, grabbed our stuff, and hot-footed to the lobby where the shuttle van was waiting. I don't usually oversleep, and a 10am flight.I don't need no stinkin' wake up call. The convenience of staying right at the airport cannot be under-estimated, as on our last stay we had a morning flight out at 10:10am. The rooms are also reasonibly priced (although we've always had the good fortune to book a few weeks in advance), and our last stay, Friday 9/11, we booked an oversized corner room for $99, through Marriot's web page. The food offered at T-Bone Charlie's (although most people eat in the bar, as do we), is both surprisingly good, and reasonably priced. Staff always friendly and helpful, hotel common area's and rooms always clean.

The hotel is on the airport grounds, and sits between the two main runways at MCI, but is so absolutely soundproof, that you don't realize it unless you walk outside.

As the wife and I have been staying at the MCI Marriot at least once, and sometimes twice a year, for the past 6 years, I figured we owed them a review.
